Unity in the USA: It’s Been Too Long… But It’s Not Too
Late— A New Day Has Arrived
“WE’VE DECIDED TO BE UNITED”
The Billion Dollar Question: When is it
too late to remain divided? The
One Dollar Answer— When there are not enough people around who care enough to
fix it.
Its 50+ Years Later: People of Faith—People
of God… Where are We Now?
Next year marks 50 years beyond the ‘assassination’ of Rev. Dr. Martin
Luther King, Jr. and 53 years beyond the ‘assassination’ of Minister Malcolm X.
These two men… died way too soon…
for causes, way too insane… but yet for a purpose, not seen or understood as
serious enough. And by no means
were they the only ones.
Way beyond a catchy phrase and marketing appeal, this utterance, “WE’VE DECIDED TO BE UNITED,” is for
the true soldiers and warriors who are done with seeing the senseless murders,
the divide and disharmony among the so-called civilized and sanctified in our
nation and in our neighborhoods and want to repent, renew and rejoin a call to
action based on commitment and decision to be the change. Who’s in?
I’m first in line.
IF MARTIN KING AND MALCOLM X WERE HERE TODAY…
What
Would They See… What Would They Say… What Would They Do… What Would They Pray?
{The Preachers First and then- all the
Rest… Say it Together— We’ve Decided To Be United.}
What did we learn from
these sacrificial leaders (if anything) regarding strategies combating disunity
in our nation during their lifetimes? What will we put in practice 50 plus
years later so that we can stop repeating the mistakes made in their day and—
the sometimes greater mistakes made since they have been gone? Why do
nothing different and see our youth and next generation continuing to die
young, way too early because of hate, disunity and the lack of patience and
faith needed for people to stop long enough to reason together and unite for
the greater good for us all?
This decree and call to action is about a
choice. A thought process that concludes
with a powerful declaration turned into ‘action now.’ Life is short and lessons learned as early on
as possible can allow us to get the most out of it.
This article is written to present a moment
prior the end of 2017 for us to; reflect the past... inspect the present…
and project the future regarding how and why we should close the divide and
ultimately eliminate such divisiveness in our nation.
Sadly,
here’s what we are seeing today because of many incomplete thought processes that
keep us divided in families, churches, communities and countries and other meaningful
‘should be’ joint-resolutions, that are being forfeited way too often.
~FIVE
MISGUIDES THAT DIVIDE (and are coming to an end)
1. One
Church/Denomination has it right- the others have it wrong
2. One
Ethnic group is still superior to the other ethnic groups claiming their lives
matter (most) and denouncing the truth that “All Lives Matter”
3. One
Political party is ‘the only one’ that is right and best for the nation
4. One
Nation has it right and is superior to all other nations
5. The
Pride (of arrogance) that puts out the ‘lamp of reasoning’ and darkens discussions
between individuals and organizations from seeing the rays and the light of
hope that can bring about collaborative progress.
Is any of this true? If so, how long does this truth last before it
rotates back to the next group and then on to another, but most importantly
what would happen if we all thought about the commonality that we all have in
being human beings, all from one blood, and all created with divine purpose to
fulfill? What happens when we see the value of being committed
to being united for a greater good?
This and
more is what I along with others will share as we discuss and engage the
God-ordained ‘now movement’— “WE’VE
DECIDED TO BE UNITED.”
WHAT DOES GOD SAY ABOUT IT BEING TOO LONG…
BUT NOT TOO LATE?
Most of you
know the account of the man in the bible who had gone 38 years waiting for the ‘right
moment’ to be healed. St. John 5:1-9 has
the record. It a similar way… it had
been too long, but it was not too late. So
is it now regarding unity in the USA. Let’s
step up and seize the moment.

The Legacy 5.0 Commemorative Bible examines the 'Divinity Perspective,’ of the God of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and conveys what God was up to during The Civil Rights Movement. It is authored by Rev. Arthur L. Hunt, Jr., D.D., a pastor and Biblical Rights activist who played a key role in the first three years of the Federal MLK Holiday from Memphis, Tennessee, including his deliverance of the opening tribute for debut of the National Civil Rights Museum. Since 1989, Hunt has produced national tributes to Rev. Dr. King and has documented these ‘prophecy to promise’ events. The Legacy 5.0 Commemorative Bible features multiple accounts of what happened beyond King’s ‘final prophecy’ delivered on April 3, 1968, from Mason Temple Church of God in Christ. Hunt worked for and was a member of this institution for over 40 years. The College of Aspiring Artists (where Hunt is Founder) is partnering with a nationally known publishing company to release the bible in 2018 along with its companion app.
Why a New Bible Version including Rev. Dr. King? No, Rev. Dr. King is not ‘the only one’ who has done great works beyond the writing and printing of the first King James Version on record since 1611, but he is the ‘only one’ that God has placed at this level of honor to bring America and the nations back to him through the works of His exemplary prophet and Biblical Rights leader. Rev. Dr. King is also the only modern-day American who is not a President with a federal holiday designated in his honor.
